Love is a Verb is a learning resource to inspire and equip Christians to put their faith into action in tough places.
There are two courses starting in October in London. It is also available on DVD and will in due course also be online.
It has developed from the Urban Mission Toolkit training course which has been running in the UK for the last 8 years.
It is for groups and individuals who want to know how to make a difference.
We believe that the Bible points to three priorities for God’s people in responding to those affected by poverty and injustice.
Making Room
Letting people experience the extravagant welcome of God.
Freeing Captives
Helping people find freedom from the things that hold them captive.
Seeking Justice
Working to challenge and change the injustices that oppress people.
Love is a Verb will explore different ways of putting these three priorities into action.
Love is a Verb combines input from experienced practitioners, practical exercises and discussion, some issues for reflection, and inspiring examples of people already putting their faith into action. It addresses many of the issues of poverty and injustice that concern us but are seldom addressed by churches.
